Planetarium Watch Lets You Look At The Stars By Gazing At Your Wrist

While smartphones have taken the place of a watch for many people, there are certain aesthetics a phone can’t replace. This 44mm Midnight Planétarium watch is from Van Cleef & Arpels’ Poetic Astronomy series is a perfect example. You read the watch by looking at the shooting star which rotates on the rim of the face. It gets fancier: the watch features the Earth and five other planets (made of precious and semi-precious tones of course) moving in accurate rotation. The movement takes 396 parts.

It’s gorgeous and priced at $245,000.
