Microsoft Research partnered up with some PhD students from MIT Media Lab to create a “smart” temporary tattoo that can be used as a touchpad for your smartphone. It can also be used to share data using NFC, or simply look cool with changing colors and LED lights.

A user can design the circuit with readily available graphic software and stamp the tattoo out in gold leaf (which conducts electricity). Additional bits are added to make the tattoo interactive. See the tattoo in action in the videos below.
