Instead of embedding a phone into a shoe, this Chinese knock-off is turning a clamshell phone into an adidas sneaker. It even features tread on the back, which is a nice touch.
Throw this on a smartphone and I’m sold. My hands could use better traction and arch support.

Earlier today we featured the Jabba The Hut addition to the Adidas Originals sneaker lineup, but it seems that there is more where that came from. Enter Chewbacca boots, Boba Fett running shoes, R2-D2 + C3-PO half and half low-tops and Stormtrooper high-tops.
Yeah, you are going to need those running shoes to get away from Boba Fett.
Still no word on pricing, but you can expect these to arrive in time for the Fall/Winter of 2010. Check out the rest of the collection after the break.

We’ve seen several of the Star Wars-themed sneakers in the adidas Originals line—like Han Solo, Darth Vader and Hoth Superskate—but now they are paying tribute to arguably the ugliest character in the entire series. Of course I’m talking about Jabba The Hut. (UPDATED)

Before you get too excited, no—these  Tron sneakers from adidas don’t actually have embedded lights. It uses “glow in the dark stitch detailing and reflective TRON disk screenprints to echo the lighting, color schemes and self-illuminated costumes featured in the film.”
Interesting…because the black shoes shouldn’t “glow” blue. But I digress…
So, from the right angle, your shoes will look straight out of Flynn’s Arcade. And pairing them with one of these glow-in-the-dark Tron hoodies is a must. Look for the shoes to arrive in December 2010.

Jeremy Scott’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection is shaping up to be his weirdest yet. The collection will include transparent shoes with wings, glow-in-the-dark shoes with wings and flames and, my personal favorite, teddy bear sneakers with arms.

Adidas continues their line of Star Wars-themed footwear with the Han Solo SL72 sneakers.
“Remember when Darth Vader froze Han Solo in carbonite and then shipped him off to Jabba the hutt? Sick, wasn’t it? Well, Han is the inspiration behind the look of the adidas Start Wars SL-72, featuring other Han Solo details like his signature belt and the red sides of his pants.â€
It even features Solo frozen in carbonite on the tongue, which was a nice touch. Look for these to arrive sometime in the fall of 2010.

The adidas Originals JS Wings 2.0 won’t offer protection during your time of the month, but they do evoke the spirit of the Hermes—the messenger of the Gods and the protector of travelers and athletes everywhere.
Expect the shoes to launch on August 10th wherever adidas Originals are sold.
