These masks from design studio Sruli Recht are nothing more than some laser cut parchment and replaceable N95 air filters, but they would really heighten the sense of doom one must feel in a hazardous breathing environment. Perhaps gas masks should look like cartoon characters or friendly celebs like Tom Hanks so they seem less menacing.
