This Terracotta Warrior cosplay by the aptly named terracotta_warrior on Reddit is a great example of thinking outside of the box when it comes to cosplay.
Apparently, he put this costume together in about three days and went through 8-10 cans of textured spray paint. The armor is light foamcore cut and glued to a shirt with glued on googly eyes for the rivets. The rest of it is made from thrift store clothing and spray paint. The makeup is airbrushed on with some pencilled detailing.
As for the base, it’s styrofoam that was either carried when he was on the move or “kicked along the road a few feet before I set up the pose again”. He also noted that his arms were super tired at the end of the night. No doubt.
