It appears that superheroes are getting so lazy that bumming a ride on the back of a person without superpowers is defensible. Or maybe he is just starved for attention and being able to give you a nice bear hug from the back is his sneaky way of cuddling. If that was his plan then having a bunch of crap shoved down his back is his penance.
