Coinstar has teamed up with Threadless to sell t-shirts via automated kiosks – just in time for the holiday season. The pilot program offers shirts currently available on the Threadless website, as well as hoodies, totes, water bottles, and onesies sold via credit, debit, and prepaid cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Currently, only four kiosks are in operation in Chicago, and future expansion plans have not yet been announced. However, if you have a regular old computer you can score Threadless tees the traditional way for 50% off during their holiday promotion. Just use the code “FUZZY 2011″ at checkout.

To celebrate the arrival of Comic-Con, Threadless has released a special edition comic book storyline series of tees.

From Threadless:

Inspired by the theme “Noir” and titled “Sorry Babe…,” the collection includes artwork by Lee Bermejo, Dave Johnson, Eduardo Risso and Matheus Lopes, whose design was chosen for the Threadless Loves Noir Challenge. Each tee from the series follows a script written by Brian Azzarello.

The artwork is pretty fantastic. I couldn’t resist getting Issue 2, Vol 2 for myself. The shirts can be purchased individually for $24 or as a set for $79.

Check out the Threadless blog for more details on the story.

Threadless has a mega March Madness…uh, Mania sale going on right now with all t-shirt prices slashed to only $10. It looks like the sale includes many of the hoodies too, so head on over there and cover up your nakedness. Hell, might as well toss out all of your tops because, let’s face it, they are so dirty at this point its really a lost cause.

The sale ends on 3/23 at 10am CT.
