the empire strikes back

Wearing the Star Wars opening crawl is something we’ve seen before, but this opening crawl infinity scarf is a first—officially anyway. There are versions based on both The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi.

Currently, there’s only concept art, but it gives you a general idea. They’re estimated for a May arrival.

love-madness-bracelet

Earlier this year, Love and Madness released Star Wars Crawl wrap bracelets featuring the opening crawl of Star Wars: Episode IV. Now they’ve unveiled a wrap bracelet for The Empire Strikes Back and it’s gorgeous, of course.

It’s nice to see a little shine on this version as opposed to the matte finish of the ANH version. Currently, we don’t have pricing or availability information, but I’m guessing it will run in the $50 – $60 range like the others. [click to continue…]

han solo replica outfit

Anovos announced their high-end Star Wars replicas at C2E2 and we’re starting to see the first pre-order listings.

In this case, it’s all about Han Solo.

Anovos recreated the Han Solo Bespin outfit from The Empire Strikes Back and it’s magnificent. The costume consists of the shirt, jacket and pants. The blaster rig is sold separately (and, can I just say, that blaster rig is amaaaaaazing). From the product page:

Replicated from the definitive Han Solo costume from The Empire Strikes Back, this Premier Line release is the result of intense and thorough Research & Development from ANOVOS’s design team. Intense study of original screen used costumes, hundreds of photographs, and some of the surviving actual paper patterns used to make Han’s outfit — provided by LucasFilm Archives — aided us in making the most accurate replica to date. For the Premier Line uniforms, the outfit’s fabrics are painstakingly recreated to capture the correct weight and weave from the originals so that you too can be the most dashing guy, or gal, in our Galaxy while wearing the clothes from science fiction’s coolest renegade.

One thing to keep in mind—Anovos pre-sells in tiers and ordering sooner gets you better pricing. They blew through Tier 1 at $900. My guess is that this second tier will go fast as well.

Head after the break to see more of this gorgeous replica.

If The Empire Strikes Back was packaged as a Spaghetti Western, the poster would probably look something like this.
