stormtrooper

Adding to previous examples of superhero jerseys are these Spider-Man and Stormtrooper offerings in a glorious blend of 60% cotton 40% polyester. My guess is that with his significant webbing skills, Spider-Man would rock in the outfield, whereas Stormtroopers would miss everything. If you route for the underdog, your selection is pretty clear.

We all know Stormtoopers have incredibly precise aim with their blasters, but how do you think they’d fare with a bow and arrow? This shirt, designed by Clinton Felker, imagines how the dreaded Stormtrooper might look in Feudal Japan. He’s still got the mask and the Imperial Logo, but he’s now armed with a bow and arrow, a wicked looking sword and traditional Japanese armor. As to how he’d shoot, we’ll have to find some Feudal Japanese Jawas and ask.

So, I suppose this girl must be his soulmate.

Jacob French isn’t your average Star Wars fan and member of the 501st Legion. He not only dresses up like a Stormtrooper, he walks 3,000 miles in the costume for charity. French started his walk across Australia in July 2011; beginning his journey in Perth and recently ending it in Sydney. He walked more than ten hours each day and went through seven pairs of shoes. Wow.

The reason for the trip was to raise funds for Starlight Children’s Foundation. The charity helps sick children in hospitals across Australia. French visited with ill children along the way, and his journey ended at Sydney Children’s Hospital. Kids love to see the costume, and he told them stories about his trip. All-in-all, the walk raised more than $98,500.

Impressive. Most impressive.

See a couple more photos of his journey after the break.

Nerd up the basketball court in jerseys showcasing your favorite superheroes and characters! These new jerseys include designs for Spider-Man, Wolverine, the Punisher, and more. The fronts feature nice designs, and the backs have names and/or numbers. My favorite is the Stormtrooper tee (I know, shocking) because the back features the number 77.

My only gripe is that the smallest size they offer is medium, and medium in men’s clothing doesn’t always fit ladies. Darnit.

They say you should dress for the job you want, and this Stormtrooper doesn’t plan on being a soldier for the Empire forever. She dreams of a career in the ballet.

This Stormtrooper invited Vader to an amusement park, but he looks anything but amused. As usual, Vader is a huge buzzkill.

8BitDreams has several cute/nerdy hair bows on Etsy, but this Stormtrooper version is definitely the best. Not surprisingly, it sold recently—but they do accept custom orders.
