Under the category of the so bizarre I don’t know what to make of it, I give you a video featuring Brent Spiner cosplaying as Spock. Take a moment to process that sentence.
The actor who played Data in Star Trek: The Next Generation donned the Vulcan ears for his sort of autobiographical web series Fresh Hell. He puts on the Spock costume for a kid’s birthday party, but he has ulterior motives. He wants to get close to casting director. Whatever the reason, I like seeing Data in the blue uniform performing the Vulcan nerve pinch.

Santa hats are obviously improved by the addition of pointy ears. Leonard Nimoy turned 80 years old over the weekend, so the timing is just right for you to pick up an authentic latex Spock ear from the set of Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
The ear will be going up for auction on April 2nd through Premier Props. The piece is expected to fetch as much as $1000, but don’t be surprised if this tiny piece of movie history goes for more.
