Sanrio has teamed up with sneaker company Ubiq to produce the “Mascot Fatima”—a Hello Kitty-themed shoe that blurs the line between sneakers and a plush doll.

Would it be too over-the-top to wear these sneakers with this dress? Yeah, probably.

The shoes are currently on sale in Japan for 15,750 yen (or about $205).

These custom shoes will help you feel like you’re in an episode of Doctor Who. They feature many of the recognizable highlights: the Doctor’s time lord watch, Daleks, a bow tie, references to Bad Wolf, and more. Pair them with your TARDIS dress or just with a pair of jeans. They’ll spark conversation either way.

Remember those incredibly awesome Chucks we featured last month with Breaking Bad, Walking Dead and Dexter designs? Well, they’re now available for purchase in the Tauntr store! And the best part is that they’re only $85—which is a bargain when you consider these are custom designs.

Needless, to say, these would make a sweet gift for some nerd out there…like me. But the Walking Dead version doesn’t come in size 13 dammit!

Shoes aren’t the normal fare at MegaHobby EXPO, but these tennis shoes are special. Reebok has made just 500 pairs of of these sneakers with a tachikoma-inspired design from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Since the availability is so limited, shoes like this are meant to be collected, not worn—and the price will probably match that status. No word yet on when they’ll be released or how much they’ll cost.

Adidas has proved that tennis shoes and Star Wars are a snazzy (and comfortable) combo. Designer Freehand Profit decided to take it one step further—he made a wearable Stormtrooper helmet from two pairs of Adidas sneakers.

It looks more comfortable than the standard armor bucket, but I don’t want to think about the smell. If you want to wear sneakers on your head, you can bid on this piece right now at eBay.
