Designer Edmundo Castillo created these Tron: Legacy inspired sandals that use LEDs to light-up. Starting February 1st, they will be sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, and you know what that means… expensive as hell. These are expected to sell for around $1650. If you’re looking for variety in your Tron shoes, there’s also these.

Scott from the UK designed this watch around Tron, one of his favorite films. The watch features an electroluminescence strip around the whole strap and and differs from its Tokyoflash brethren by offering an easy method of reading the time:
The two rings (styled on a Tron Disc) represent minutes (outer) and hours (inner). The break in the ring represents the time in a normal clock face layout.
This design is only a concept at this point, but you can click the link below and let Tokyoflash know that you want them, which may help it become liberated from its concept prison.

It looks like Marty McFly is on the fast track to arriving in 2015 nude, because his original jacket from Back To The Future 2 is heading to the auction block along with his shoes. However, if you want it, you’ll have to have $15,000 – $25,000 of disposable income.

Marty McFly’s actual 2015 Nike Trainers from Back To The Future 2 will be be offered at Hollywood Memorabilia Auction 42 on November 6th and are expected to fetch between $12,000 and $15,000. The sales dsescription states:
This particular shoe was specifically made for walking around. Original future Nike 2015 self-lacing shoes are extremely rare and one of the most sought-after props from one of the most iconic Sci-Fi movies ever made.
With the actual development of power laces seemingly inevitable, owning something like this would even be more interesting.

In order to garner publicity for the upcoming 3D film Megamind, DreamWorks Animation sounded the nerd call with the hope of setting a Guinness world record for the largest gathering of superheros. With Will Ferrell and DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg on hand for the event, a total of 1,580 superheros showed up, including Harry Potter and the Ghostbusters, shattering the previous record of 1,501 set by a New Hampshire children’s hospital back in August.
While Guinness went to work determining the number, attendees busied themselves playing Minion Bowl Toss, Metro Man Power Shot and Roxanne Richie Ring Toss. Check out some video of the event after the break.

For some reason, the Twin Pines/Lone Pine Mall scene in Back To The Future seems to be one of the least dated scenes in the movie, and I’m chalking it up to the fact that JC Penney still has the same damn logo after 25 years. Anyway, you can now get Lone Pine mall on a shirt that only nerds and avid TNT and TBS fans will get. Plus there’s an interesting backstory about how Twin Pines Mall became Lone Pine Mall that you may have missed the first 950 times you watched the movie. Check it out here.

Lots of superhero costume news today. First we come across a new pic from Thor and now we have Ryan Reynolds in his Green Lantern costume. Well, some sort of computer-enhanced costume anyway. Looks pretty good to me.

The LA Times snagged this pic from the upcoming Thor movie featuring his father Odin (Sir Anthony Hopkins) wearing an asinine gold eyepatch and his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Damn, that freakin’ eyepatch. And what’s up with the armor? Is anyone wearing a helmet in this movie?
On the plus side (I guess) both Thor and Captain America have been confirmed as 3D flicks.
