How many messenger bags out there are designed to hold both your laptop and your iPad or Kindle? I have a Timbuk2 bag myself and I can say with confidence that they make some of the best messenger bags and backpacks out there. The problem is that those bags can be freakin’ expensive—unless you take advantage of their one day sale that is.

There aren’t many gaming-themed messenger bags out there that I would say go well with a suit, but this retro, vinyl Space Invaders version is an exception. Though, the dude in the image clearly isn’t going the formal route.

The bags come in several different styles—plus Feuerwear (or “fire” wear in German) also makes belts and wallets out of the material. Besides making the bags tough, the hoses also give it a nice worn aesthetic.

As far as cement companies go, South Africa’s Pretoria Portland Cement (PPC) is a fashion trailblazer. Their stylish sacks are being repurposed by Wren Design into durable laptop bags.
Recycled life vests make for some interesting messenger bags, but I wouldn’t count on one if you ever find yourself on a sinking boat. Then again, this is one big ass bag—as you can see in the image after the break.
