People will do and ask things of pregnant women that they would never do otherwise. Some stranger wants to feel the baby? Maybe they would be a little less likely to ask if you had a 3D alien protruding from your belly. Not a scary alien like Sigourney Weaver battled, but a friendly and very shiny one. A little more interesting than your typical maternity wear.
