marvel

Disney bought Marvel back in 2009 and proceeded to push its characters down our throats every chance it got—except at its theme parks. Apparently, that situation is about to be remedied.

At a recent shareholders meeting, Disney CEO Bob Iger noted that his company is “working on some concepts” to bring costumed Marvel heroes to Disney parks.

Perhaps one of the reasons why this didn’t happen early on is the fact that Universal Studios holds rights in perpetuity for its Marvel Super Hero Island attraction, which includes themed-rides and a daily parade of X-Men and Avengers characters on ATVs. No doubt Disney is trying to find a way to differentiate itself, but Wolverine riding through a park on an ATV is pretty hard to beat.

Marvel is ready to make your dog stylish. They’ve partnered with Fetch to develop a line of clothing for dogs. If you want to show your love for a Marvel hero through your pet, they’ve probably got a t-shirt or bandana for it.

I’m impressed by how extensive the line is; your dog could wear a different tee every day for a couple of weeks. Thor. Iron Man. The Avengers. Who will your pup support today? The designs are so cool that it’s bound to cause some fighting at daycare.

(I love these shirts; I don’t know how I feel about being jealous of t-shirts made for dogs.)
