If it took three years for these guys to create authentic Halo costumes from scratch, I wonder how long it would take to make a wearable suit out of Lego? Actually, that might be a little too difficult to suit up in—but at least we know that it is possible to make a wearable helmet thanks to Ben Calukins.
After Halloween 2007, a group of friends asked “what should we do for Halloween next year?” Halo came to mind, and the group set to work.
Well, next year came and went, and then another and now, finally, the fruits of their 3 year struggle are realized in this group photo. Seven dudes decked out in highly detailed custom armor.
Needless to say, the results are extremely impressive. Fortunately, the build process was extensively documented—you can check it out in the link below.

Some dude got dressed up as Master Chief to promote the release of Halo:Reach in London. That’s nothing new, but this particular Halo cosplayer had something most fans don’t—a jetpack. Check out some videos of the short flight in Trafalgar Square after the break (and make sure to turn your volume wayyyyyy down).

Halo:Reach dropped yesterday, but you’ll have to wait until 9/21 for this “Death From Above” shirt to spawn.

One could make a good case that the animatronic Halo Elite costume created by effects artist Pete Mander is the single most awesome cosplay creation ever put together outside of a major Hollywood studio.
