Hunger Games superfan Jessica crafted this magnificent Mockingjay wedding dress which took first place at a costume contest a few months back on mockingjay.net. She describes it thusly:

It was constructed using a vintage wedding dress base, to which I added a layer of fiery fabric to imitate the dress in flames, then black feather boas for the black feathers. I also added the sheer sleeves and veil piece as well. I’m not sure if it’s visible, but there are also faux pearls strung along the neckline.

Cushy sneaker soles make any fall better, especially long ones. Illustrator Jared Sellers has modified a pair of knee-high Converse sneakers into the most comfortable looking pair of Long Fall Boots I’ve seen. Granted, they might not have quite the same spring as Chell’s boots, but I bet they won’t give you blisters!

The Hunger Games fever is getting hotter as the release date for the movie approaches. If the commercially-produced merchandise isn’t enough for you, look to Etsy for some uncommon products. These handpainted shoes are a perfect example. They’re painted to order on Vans or a similar style of footwear, and they’ll make any fan of the series squee with happiness. I like the mockingjay design in the above photo, and the book cover design in the photo after the break.

These shoes might not be designed to survive the arena, but they’re still awesome.

To me, this shirt is the definition of geek chic. This isn’t your average nerd shirt design. It features a classic Nintendo game controller paired with a really flattering cut and colors. Bonus: it has pockets. The design is custom and will be made just for you when you place an order. If you wear it, don’t let strangers push your buttons. Save the cheat codes for the ones you love.

This image of awesome Power Rangers hoodies was floating around today, but it isn’t worth a damn unless you can actually get your hands on one. After a little digging we discovered that they probably originated from RangerBoard member Shoebasket who notes that he will take custom orders for $110 $85 a pop.

If you want to take a closer look, there’s also a video after the break of a satisfied customer reviewing his Power Rangers purchase.

If you’ve always wanted to be a My Little Pony but didn’t want to wear the tail, this hoodie’s for you. You can choose the pony you want to emulate, and the seller will add the appropriate cutie mark. Pegasus ponies have wings in the back (as seen above), and unicorns will come with a horn sewed into the hood. You don’t have to wear a pony-colored wig with the hoodie, but why wouldn’t you?
