Over the last couple of months we have delivered news out of Japan regarding a series of Converse Chucks celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of Super Mario Bros. As you might expect, they have proven to be quite popular—but getting your hands on a pair in the US seemed unlikely.
However, the good news is that JBox is now taking pre-orders for the first two black and white pairs. Granted, they aren’t cheap at $130, but we are willing to bet that there are quite a few people out there willing to pay a little extra for these. Hopefully, the other two pairs will available for pre-order down the line as well.

Journeys has three new Converse Chucks coming out in June with Green Lantern, Flash, Superman and Batman themes. Check out the complete collection after the break, though we think that the Flash version is particularly badass. It would look as though I was running like the wind even when I’m sitting down drinking a beer.

Unfortunately, the Death Stars shoe line never took off because they kept exploding and blowing people’s feet off. The good news is that you can still save the shirt by voting it up for printing on Qwertee.

Converse Japan is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros with two special edition Chuck Taylor sneakers. The designs will be available come July, but it seems unlikely that the shoes will also be available here in the states.
