c-3po

We’ve seen a lot of t-shirt mashups in our day, but this one seems like a natural fit.

Something tells me that R2D-WHO is less likely to take CYB3R-PO’s crap though.

K9 Loves R2-D2

by Sean Fallon on February 14, 2011

in T-Shirts

Just in time for Valentine’s Day comes this shirt featuring K-9 trying to sexually assault R2-D2 while C-3PO and a Cyberman look on laughing. R2-D2 was scarred for life. “BOOP BEEP” means “no” folks.

You can get this humorous Transformers / Star Wars mashup as a print and skins for the iPhone, iPad and laptop—but no t-shirt? Hopefully this grievous error will be remedied soon.

This is actually the highest award robot actors can achieve. It recently went to this washing machine for it’s heart-wrenching portrayal of a brick addiction.

This shirt is currently up for voting on Threadless. If you would like to see it go to print make sure to vote it up.

There can be only one.

I would have expected C-3PO to go down right away, but you know R2-D2 and Bender put up a fight.

As Collector’s Weekly recently pointed out, the resemblance of these mid 1800′s rescue masks to those of Darth Vader and C-3PO is blatantly obvious. So, were they part of the inspiration behind the look of Star Wars?

Well, only designer Ralph McQuarrie would know for sure, but as far as we know they haven’t been mentioned as an inspiration—and McQuarrie has been pretty open about the process behind his work on Star Wars thus far.

That having been said, it’s probably just a coincidence—albeit a really uncanny one.

The Artoo bathing suit was lonely, so Black Milk got him a companion. I’ve got to tell you that, in this situation, I wouldn’t mind seeing C-3PO and R2-D2 finally consumate their relationship.

Remember how C-3PO was almost destroyed in The Empire Strikes Back? Fortunately for you, this backpack version will keep it’s mouth shut the whole time you wear it. Plus, it’s ideal for iPad transport.

The pics are a bit grainy and there are no details on specs just yet, but if you dig the design on these Star Wars Darth Vader, R2-D2 and C-3PO headphones from Taito, they will be available starting in May for only $25. If you have a little more money to burn however, these Star Wars-themed headphones from Coloud might be the better choice for around $40.

Sick of Star Wars? I didn’t think that was possible, but we have you covered anyway. Try tuning in with these Marvel character headphones instead.

tin-man-vs-c-3po.jpg

It was only a matter of time before the bad blood between these two boiled over. Unfortunately the fight is going to be a bit lopsided. C-3PO is a wuss and the tin man is a fearsome, heartless bastard.
