Prophecy Girl has just launched pre-orders for a very cool collection of button down shirts that feature some familiar patterns. That Bazine Netal-inspired shirt really caught our attention, but there are also options inspired by Sherlock, Loki and Buffy. Take a closer look at the designs below. [click to continue…]

The following is a guest post from Buffy The Vampire Slayer costume designer Matt Van Dyne, who was kind enough to share his memories (and style) from the show on this, the 20th anniversary of the Buffy premiere. It is truly an honor to have him on FG. [click to continue…]

There’s getting a tattoo to show your devotion to your favorite book, film, or TV series and then there’s getting ink that covers your entire back. Both choices are a commitment but getting a giant tattoo removed is going to be a lot more expensive – if not impossible. The giant pieces are miniature masterpieces.

The huge X-Men tattoo featuring Dark Phoenix pictured above is stunning. Image found on Acid Cow.

See six more pieces of inked art after the break.

Is it is just me or are nerdy skirts showing up all over the place these days? I love that sellers are realizing that ladies love to show their enthusiasm for a particular fandom through more than just t-shirts. There’s a cute skirt to go with almost everything. Etsy seller luv2right has a huge sampling in her Etsy store including this awesome Buffy the Vampire Slayer design!

What I love about this style of skirt is that you can wear the simplest tops with it. I like to pair solid color tanks or v-necks with my patterned geek skirts and occasionally add a 3/4 sleeve cardigan.

Hit the break to check out two Loki skirts and a cute Doctor Who design.

I saw a vision of Buffy in my toast once. So I built a shrine for the toast because I think it protects me from evil.
