Archie McPhee makes anime cosplay easier and more authentic with these crazy anime eyes glasses.
These glasses are perfect for fans, or even otaku, of Japanese animation. Slipping these on allows you to mimic the large eyes of anime characters whether you’re doing cosplay at Otakon or just talking to a fellow fan of Akira via Skype. Buy a bunch and you and your friends can act out your own anime and post it on the internet.
Speaking of otaku (or the equivalent of “nerd” in Japanese), Archie McPhee has informed us that they put “Otaku Approved” on the packaging as a nod to Nerd Approved and our sites under Nerd Approved Media. We definitely do approve!

It seems like it’s been the year for good fan videos. The trend continues with this Sailor Moon fan creation. The CG is of a decent quality for a fan film, and the story is fun. The acting is shaky in parts, but it’s easily overlooked—and the costumes are particularly well done. You can enjoy this even if you don’t know anything about Sailor Moon.

This Halloween, why not go out as you’re favorite female anime character? The following tutorial teaches you how to achieve the big-eye anime look with makeup.
The only problem is that to really sell the effect, you’ll have to walk around with your eyes closed. This might prove problematic at a party when you realize that you’ve been holding a conversation with a bookshelf for the last 15 minutes.
