Absinthe or “the Green Fairy” is illegal in many areas of the world due to its highly debatable hallucinogenic properties. However, this just serves to make its allure that much more powerful. The way I see it, we wear beer related merchandise all the time. Why not absinthe? Beer doesn’t have the same mystique and it lacks a “Green Fairy” type character. And even if it did, the fairy would most likely be a shirtless plumber name Lou that constantly pesters you to pull his finger.
