Last week we saw the city of Seattle threatened by one Rex Velvet. He swore he’d had enough of would-be superhero Phoenix Jones and promised to rid the city of this heroic nuisance. Apparently, he didn’t receive an appropriate response from Jones so he has issued a second challenge, and this time he’s coming for Phoenix in a DeLorean. So, Seattle has an evil villain who wears a bowler, eye-patch and a snazzy mustache while driving a DeLorean. I’m moving there to be his minion.

Drawing a mustache on your finger is old news. It’s much cooler to dress your finger up in a little costume complete with a wig. Yes, you read that right. Tamara Maynes has designed a series of superheroes in teensy tiny costumes suited for your finger. The characters have fun names like Angle Man and include masks, capes, and fun logos—and they’re cute.

I think fashioning little ensembles would be a great project for kids or adults. And, if you make your own and convince friends to make villains, you could have epic finger poking contests or thumb wars.

Since there are folks like Phoenix Jones who dress up as superheroes and become would-be vigilantes, it was just a matter of time before we got a genuine evil villain. Enter the nefarious, mustached, Rex Velvet. He aims to stir up trouble in the fair city of Seattle, drinking fiery drinks and throwing his bowler around like Oddjob. He’s had quite enough of Phoenix Jones and is determined take back Seattle for evil. I’ll take him seriously when he has a secret lair in a volcano.

He always was the cutest part of the game. No, not Mario, even with that little mustache. I’m talking about Pikachu. So it’s easy to see why Mario would break out the Pika-suit. I predict big things for this look. Just imagine, legions of real-world cosplayers in cute little yellow suits, with white gloves and mustaches. There are still a few months before San Diego Comic Con, somebody, make this happen!

So you think you’re a big deal? Well, that Anchorman shirt you’re wearing has been one-upped. I’m kinda amazing. Though, I will admit you have a thick, luxurious mustache.

Something tells me that this guy’s wisdom and courage are a little unbalanced. Still, he deserves his wish to grow a mustache as regal as Mario’s.

Behold the Ear Hat. Of course, the bottom part of the ear might still get cold, so I propose adding an Ear Mustache…and maybe an Ear Monocle. By Tove Greitz and Minna Magnusson.

I absolutely love Nick Offerman’s Ron Swanson character on Parks and Recreation. The interesting thing is that I’m starting to realize that Nick and Ron actually have a lot in common. For example, it seems that Ron Swanson’s love of woodworking was directly inspired by Nick’s passion for making canoes, furniture and random wooden trinkets in his woodshop.

That having been said, you can now purchase one of his handmade, limited edition mustache combs for $75. The man knows a thing or two about mustaches, so buying one of his combs is kind of like buying nunchucks that were handmade by Bruce Lee or something.
