DNA Double Helix Engagement Ring Comes With A Waveform Message

When it came time to pop the question, Matthew Varas wanted to give his girlfriend (now fiancée) a ring that incorporated science. He worked closely with his jeweler to come up with the design you see pictured above. The ring is modeled after a DNA double helix and has 11 base pairs per twist. It’s got to be the fanciest DNA I’ve ever seen. As if that wasn’t nerdy enough, Matthew also recorded a message and had the jeweler cast the waveform of it into the band of the ring. It’s seriously beautiful.

Check out more pics of the ring after the break.
