This gorgeous 18k gold ring hails from Metamorphosis Jewelry designer John Biagiotti and includes nine planets made of meteorites and gemstones. And I know what you’re going to say…yes, dwarf planets count.
The center of the gold band features an inlaid ring of Gibeon Meteorite which spins independently. It’s like the entire solar system is revolving around your little finger.
Check out more pics after the break.
The meteorite ring is etched with nitric acid to reveal the Widmanstatten figures, which are the signature cross hatched lines that appear on meteoric iron. Each planet is represented with a different stone:
“Mercury is represented by an orange Sapphire, Venus a golden Sapphire, Earth an irradiated blue Diamond, Mars a Ruby, Jupiter an Opal, Saturn a Cats Eye Chrysoberyl with an inlaid 24k gold ring, Uranus a green Sapphire, Neptune a blue Sapphire and Pluto a black Diamond.”
With a hefty price tag, these one of a kind rings are made to order in custom sizes and come available in yellow or rose gold.
