If the fancy restaurant won’t let you in even though your hoodie has a tie on it, then that place is obviously too fancy for their own good. Of course if the hoodie is not zipped up it will look kind of goofy, so just check the weather to be sure it is going to be cold enough so that zipped up is fine.
