Unicorn Frappuccino Hair Probably Tastes Worse Than Starbucks

I say “probably” because I didn’t bother to try Starbucks’ Unicorn Frappuccino. I assume that it tastes better than hair but, knowing Starbucks, I’m not 100% sure on that. However, I’m very sure that Starbucks will try a stunt like this again, and Kelly O’Leary-Woodford is only encouraging them with her creation. At least there’s a reasonable explanation for all of this.

UNICORN FRAPPUCCINO?! UNICORN HAIR!!! Stay tuned tonight for a hilarious video!!! Ps. My clients are amazing. @kianarae96

You see, O’Leary-Woodford is co-owner of co-owner of Sapphire Hair Lounge in Winnipeg, Canada. On the day Starbucks released the Unicorn Frappuccino, a local radio station held a giveaway contest for the drink. She thought that creating a hairstyle based on the drink would be just the thing. Coincidentally, a customer came in that very day asking for a style that used just the right colors.

“We just did platinum blonde and toned the bottom an ombre of pink to lavender to blue,” O’Leary-Woodford told BuzzFeed Canada.

We have to admit, the hair looks great without the straw:

I’m not sure how the contest turned out, but at least O’Leary-Woodford got a viral picture out of it. Let’s face it—everything about this stupid drink went viral. We should all just settle in and prepare for Starbucks to pull stunts like this from now until the end of time.
