This 5-Year Old Is An Adorable Starbuck Cosplayer For A Very Good Cause

Five year old Savannah Greenawalt has Mitochondrial Disease, an affliction that prevents her body from converting food and oxygen into energy. Children with the disease rarely reach their teens.

However, that doesn’t mean Savannah’s letting the condition get the best of her. She has a 1000 watt smile and a love for dress up that her mom, Amber Greenawalt, encourages.

As part of Global Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week, Amber did an utterly awesome photo shoot in which Savannah played “dress up” as some of her mom’s favorite strong female characters — and her mom seems to have some pretty kick ass taste. Savannah even got chosen as Her Universe’s “Fangirl of the Day” earlier this month.

Not to mention, seeing Savannah dressed up as Starbuck and totally selling that Viper jock attitude may be one of the most awesome things you see all day.

But I’ll also mention that the goal of the photos is, first and foremost, to inform people about Mito and raise awareness in hopes of finding a cure. So, please, drop by and see all of the pictures on her blog post and check out the Facebook page Amber made for Savannah.
