Here’s How A Life-Size RoboCop ED-209 Costume Is Built [Video]

A few years ago Ghostlight released an ambitious, full-length RoboCop remake on a budget. They built all of the props themselves, but instead of employing a miniature model like the original film, they went ahead and built a full-size ED-209 costume out of cardboard and plastic. This is how they did it:

I say “on a budget” but this was definitely a time consuming process that wasn’t all that cheap. Animating it would have been easier most likely—but yay practical effects. Going the DIY route is a lot more fun.
