Known as a “real-life Wonder Woman” by her friends, Mary Cotter dressed the part to celebrate her 103rd birthday at the senior center where she has volunteered for the last 25 years.
Despite her age, she lives alone and drives herself to the senior center five days a week. She tells abc7:
“They call me the barmaid because I’m serving drinks.”
Even during her celebration, she was serving cake and coffee to her guests.
Throughout her life she’s had some remarkable accomplishments like leading her high school to win the state swim championship in 1930 and working as a conservationist that rescues sea turtles well into her 90’s.
Her key to longevity she notes simply is to “Just keep busy I guess.” What a darling! Watch this wonderful woman in costume after the break.
