Hopefully, these iPad covers made from Bernie Madoff’s pants will do a better job of protecting your investment than Madoff did when he was wearing them.

The covers were created by iPad cover manufacturer Frederick James using summer pants acquired from Bernie Madoff’s beach home in the Hamptons as part of an auction conducted last year by the U.S. Marshals Service.

The sleeves were originally selling for $250, but available stock quickly sold through. Frederick James does note that some covers might turn up from cancellations, so keep your eyes peeled. Otherwise you’ll have to try and get an alternate version made using his current wardrobe, though they only come in black and white striped versions with inmate numbers.

The whole Wonder Woman pants issue continues to rage on, stoked by the two final covers of Justice League #1. As you will see in the image below, they feature Wonder Woman with and without pants.

That makes Mario Pieda’s photoshop above all that more amusing. It turns the tables and re-imagines all of the other Justice League members without pants.

Hello Kitty irritates me, but there’s no denying that these pants are cute as hell. Unfortunately, if you want a pair for your kid (or yourself, just admit it) you’ll have to learn how to knit. The pattern is the only thing up for sale.

Don’t be too disappointed if you lack the skills. Sanrio has never been one to turn down an opportunity to make a little money, so there’s hope that an official version could come out some day.

Konami has partnered with musterbrand LLC to develop a clothing line for men based on the 2010 PSP game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker .

The line will include coats, sweatshirts, pants, t-shirts and hats inspired by characters in the game.

Expect the clothes to be available online in North America starting on April 11th with new items being released on a quarterly basis throughout the year. Check out the rest of the lineup after after the break.

This clever but wildly inappropriate advertising solution dreamed up by the DDB Auckland agency involves imprinting an ad for Superette, a New Zealand clothing chain, on the bare thighs of people who sit on a modified park bench. University of Alberta student Josh Le wore the same pair of raw denim jeans, without washing them, for 15 months straight—all in the name of science.

At the end of the 15 months, Le swabbed the jeans for bacteria. He then put the garb through a washing machine, after which he wore the jeans another two weeks before re-testing.

And the results surprised Le and his professor, Rachel McQueen.

“They were similar,” McQueen said of the bacteria count of the freshly washed pair, compared to the prewashing levels. “I expected they would still be much lower than after 15 months.”

In all, there were five kinds of skin bacteria in the jeans, and mostly in the crotch area, where between 8,500 and 10,000 bacterial units per square centimetre were found. However, McQueen said because Le was healthy, with no skin problems or cuts, there was no health concern.

However, there was a smell concern—but Le had an answer. He triple bagged his jeans and stuck them in the freezer. But that begs the question, did the freezing prevent bacteria growth that would have otherwise made the jeans funkier? This is important science people.

I’ll admit right here and now that I love casual attire. Jeans and a cozy shirt are pretty much a daily staple for me for when I’m out and about.

But I gotta say, this new Levi’s Double Denim Onesie scares me.

I mean, nothing says fashion like “I have my shirt stitched to my jeans!”
