Hot Topic has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products for a fashion collection based on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and I’m more excited for the movie now that I’ve seen some of the 1920s style looks for characters like Newt Scamander, Queenie Goldstein, and Seraphina Picquery.
First of all, Newt’s coat ($79.90) is gorgeous, but I love Queenie’s flapper dress ($69.90) and Seraphina’s Art Deco eagle emblem off the shoulder number ($89.90). The rest of this 9-piece collection includes a MACUSA (Magical Congress of the USA) burnout raglan ($28.90), Queenie Goldstein Coat ($99.90), Tina Goldstein Pin-Up Dress ($59.90), Guys Symbols Woven ($44.90), Symbol Skater Dress ($54.90), and Fantastic Beasts Sharkbite Top ($32.90). The coats also include a “wand pocket” sewn into the inner shells of the lining. Love that detail.
Women’s styles are XS-2X (with plus-sizes in select styles) and men’s styles are available in XS – 3X. If I have one complaint, it’s that Newt’s coat isn’t available in a women’s version, but I’m guessing that won’t stop many ladies from making it work.
The nine-piece collection will be available November 8th at exclusively at Hot Topic stores and hottopic.com. This is what you would call a sneak peek. Take a closer look at these sneak peek pieces below.
