OH MY GOD LOOK AT THESE FRIGGIN’ GOWNS!
Elegant Armor Gown
We created this fantasy bridal gown for our client Brianna. We used a burgundy/maroon ombre silk that parts in the front to reveal silver 3D lace. The underlaying fabric is a blue/purple taffeta. Metal filigree decorates the top of the dress and under-bust. We created matching filigree shoulder caps with swags of chains that drape over the sides of the arm and back. We added gems in teal and green to the filigree and 3D lace. I really feel like the silver lace at the bottom of the dress mimics all the filigree elements at the top of the gown!
~Hannah Alexander Art Nouveau Tinkerbell~
Our customer Elizabeth commissioned us to create the Art Nouveau Tinkerbell by Hannah Alexander Artwork. I took a few liberties and added a Firefly Path twist to her design. The flower beaded lace was dip-dyed to create an ombre effect with the lightest green flowers at the top of the shoulders, down to a deeper green at the waist. Both layers of her skirt are ombre as well. We added organic pintucking to the skirt and sewed flowers and crystals throughout the gown. The crystal flower lace top is sewn to a nude mesh to create the effect as though the flowers are growing from her body. Her wings are from Fancy Fairy Wings & Things! The wings have fiberoptic lights, so they will glitter in the dark!
