LED eyelashes might become a reality if an upcoming Kickstarter proves successful. Watch Co-creator and Arduino designer Tien Pham demo the appropriately named F.Lashes in the video below.
At this point, interested parties might have a few questions. A full FAQ is listed on the F.Lashes Facebook page, but you’ll be happy to know that the light isn’t blinding, the lashes don’t emit any noticeable heat (the 3.3 volt watch battery lasts about four hours), they hold up well to sweat (no danger of shock), available colors include: pink, red, blue, light blue, white, yellow, and green, and the Arduino controller attaches to the back of the wearer’s head using hair clips. The eyelashes themselves can be applied using normal eyelash glue.
Pricing hasn’t been announced thus far, but the Kickstarter campaign is expected to launch around mid-July 2017. You can sign up on the F.Lashes website for more information as it becomes available.
