Elhoffer Design has launched a Sidekicks and Villains fairytale fashion collection featuring pieces inspired by the Cheshire Cat, The Queen of Hearts, Pegasus from Hercules, and Captain Hook. Take a closer look at the collection below. [click to continue…]
Elhoffer Design is currently taking pre-orders for Star Trek-inspired cardigans in red, blue, and yellow, along with a cardigan Wesley Crusher would probably wear. She’s also offering ponchos in the same colors along with one that’s inspired by Spock (my personal favorite).

All of the prices are sale prices during pre-order and you get an extra discount if you buy sets, so it’s worth jumping in early on this. Check out more pics below. [click to continue…]
Catherine Elhoffer’s awesome cardigan line has a new addition that celebrates the Stormpilot bromance of Finn and Poe Dameron. Talk about a boyfriend sweater!
It runs in sizes XL to 3X and it’s available for pre-order now. I really hope couples buy them and wear them together. Awwwwww.
Galactic Bromance Cardigan: $55
Not even a full day goes by and I see more goodies from Elhoffer Design. These new cropped cardigans are inspired by some of your favorite Marvel ladies. Whether you want to dress like a member of the Corps or you feel like wrapping yourself in more of a woven Punk or Bandit feel, she’s got new designs in sizes small to 3X with prices ranging from $40 – $45 depending on style and size. They’re over on her Etsy page and available to pre-order now. Check out more pics below. [click to continue…]
Once again, Catherine Elhoffer has delivered on nerdy fashions we love. This time around, she’s inspired by DC Comics with both Batgirl and Wonder Woman designs.
The Batgirl-inspired dress is purple textured spandex and black scuba and comes with bat ears on the hood and side pockets. The Wonder Woman tunic is inspired by Gal Gadot’s costume and features antique gold stretch vinyl, dark red Techno, navy textured Liverpool (spandex/poly blend), side pockets, and a faux skirt tabard. We’ve had a preview of Elhoffer Design’s Hamilgown Collection, but now it’s ready for opening night. Plus, the photos by Lauren Elisabeth Photography capture both the fun and beauty of the collection and the cosplayers.
What started as Katie’s personal plan to make a dress for when she went to see Hamilton: An American Musical, became a collection—because she never does anything small.
This collection is also more elaborate than much of her previous geek fashion and uses fabric-covered and metal buttons, cuffed sleeves, pocket flaps above side-seam pockets, epaulettes, lace detailing, and more. They’re also light and easy to wear because none of these pieces actually have coats. It’s a very cool illusion due to topstitching and asymmetrical patterning.
I really hope Lin-Manuel Miranda sees this collection. I think he’d be thrilled to see what Hamilton has inspired. [click to continue…]
Catherine Elhoffer is a huge fan of Hamilton so, naturally, the musical has become the inspiration for some of her new designs.

In this case, she’s started a #Hamilgown project. Judging by how quickly all of this has progressed, I think she’s definitely feeling all sorts of inspired. I can’t wait to see these dresses on models. [click to continue…]

Another day, another dress by Elhoffer Design that I love. Seriously, I don’t where this woman finds the time to execute all of these awesome ideas. Not that I’m complaining. Drooling, yes. Complaining, no.
This new Sailor Moon-inspired design was a commission for client (speaking of which, Catherine says she has a few spots open if you’d like a custom dress) and the bow is removable for washing.

I have some good news for you Elhoffer Design fans. Catherine has added two new Star Wars-themed dresses to her Etsy store. The Galactic Scavenger and the Galactic Fighter are slightly different than the custom designs, but they’re more affordable and just as cute. You can also get the Galactic Scavenger dress in black or gray.
She also dropped a very cool Trek-inspired dress on her Instagram. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be popular.
